Texts
Send full text of your lecture (if not already sent). Send short description of your class or performance. All texts will be posted at the website as congress proceedings.
Presentations
Never exceed allowed duration – we are very strict on time. Have your music in a USB key for us to check. Make sure your Powerpoint plays at any computer.
Performances
Rehearsal take place on the same day only, time on stage is extremely limited, no more than 5 minutes. On Monday evening there will be extra performances for those who registered late or have missed performing on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.
Local information
HOTEL BOOKING
Book at a hotel in Plaka or nearby. Most conferees stay from Monday to Monday, having time to visit the city. Find a list of hotels at the Congress website. If you stay in another area take a taxi, it will cost no more than 4 euros.
UPON ARRIVAL
- Change currency to euros
- Put your watch to local time: GMT +3
- Take bus or metro to Syntagma Square, walk to Plaka or take taxi to other areas.
- Check in your hotel, ask for the way to Congress venues. Get a plan of the city, find the Plaka district.

Morning: Dora Stratou office building at Scholeiou Street 8, Plaka (off 122 Adrianou Street). Check in and get conferee’s bag containing: badge for entrances, souvenir program, gifts, brochures, plan etc.
Evening: Dora Stratou Theatre & School on Philopappou Hill (20 minutes walk from Plaka past the Acropolis entrance, or by taxi around Philopappou Hill)

TRANSPORT
- Taxi fare is about 4 euros within the city center.
- Nearest metro station for all venues is Acropolis; Syntagma and Monastiraki stations are also at walking distance.
FEES
CID membership fee is 55 euros, Congress registration 65 euros, not refundable (80 plus 100 $US from outside the Eurozone). Conferees have free access to all events, only if wearing their badge.
ATTIRE
Bring light dresses, eventually national costume. Temperature is around 30 degrees centigrade. Wear hat and sunglasses, drink much water.
NETWORKING
It is important that as many CID members as possible make your acquaintance. Bring many brochures and visiting cards to give away. Display articles, publications, distribute photocopies of your lecture.
INSURANCE
Make sure your insurance covers you for the trip. Ask hotel desk to call the embassy of your country if in need.
